Sussex All blacks strike on the salts.

Seaford RFC took on Burgess Hill on the salts in a league game that was hotly contested.
Burgess Hill took an early lead with heavy pressure straight from the kick off with Tim Daniels going over for an early try and Burgess hill making the conversion to take a 7-0 lead. Seaford then came into the game very strongly and had their fair share of possession, spending much of the time in Burgess Hill half and final 22. Despite this Seaford kept giving away penalties and never really got to the point of scoring, after a heavy spell of Seaford domination, Burgess Hill was awarded a penalty and stuck another 3points on the board taking a 10-0 lead. From then on Burgess Hill dominated the game up until HT.
When the 2nd half started Seaford and Burgess Hill didn’t get much out of the middle of the park with play being fairly even, Burgess hill then broke away and Adam Rez touched down for a try and conversion was also put away to give Burgess Hill a 17-0 lead. Burgess Hill looked the most likely to add another score and touched over with Adam Mckay scoring to make it 22-0. Towards the end of the game frustrations from both sides began to show with Burgess Hill ending the game with 14 and Seaford with 13 after having players sent to the sinbin for the last few minutes.
Burgess Hill won 22-0 but it was a closer game than the score line suggested and Seaford can take a lot away from the game.
Seaford are away to Hove II next week.

Seaford train on a Tuesday (7pm) and Thursday (6:30pm) night and the 1st and 2nd team are always looking for players to come in and give the game a go.
